Nashville, Tenn. (September 24, 2021) — MCC/Curb Records recording artist American Young drops “Happy Again” today (9/24). The BBC Radio 2 will also give the track an Exclusive First Play. Listen to “Happy Again” HERE.
The BCMA award winners combine their impressive harmonies on the new pop-leaning track as they discover that hindsight really is 20/20. “‘Happy Again’ is a hymn about the resurrection of a broken heart,” American Young’s Kristy Osmunson and Jon Stone collectively share. “Sometimes we get used to being numb, and this is a song about waking up and not being OK with just being OK.”
The duo contends that it often takes moving to the other side of heartache to see the purpose in the pain. Penned by Stone, along with Kyle Schlienger and Jason Mizell, the chorus for “Happy Again” reads something like wisdom:
Sometimes you don’t know that it ain’t meant to be till it ends
And you find what you been missin’
And sometimes you think that you can’t till you see that you can
And it changes your condition
Sometimes you don’t know there’s someone better instead
Or how unhappy you were until you’re happy again
Adding to their 12 million on-demand streams, the global entertainers are poised to share additional music leading up to the release of their sophomore album, AYII, on Nov. 19.

About American Young:
American Young is made up of Country singer/songwriters Kristy Osmunson and Jon Stone, both of whom found success in Nashville before joining forces in 2013.
