Album Release and Headlining Shows Set for February 2024

Nashville, Tenn. (October 6, 2023) — IVAV recording artist Jay-Way showcases his knack for storytelling with his latest single, “Blind Tears,” out today (10/6). The track serves as a sneak peek of a forthcoming full-length album, slated for release in February 2024. Listen to “Blind Tears” HERE.

Drawing inspiration from artists like Brent Faiyaz, Daniel Caesar, 6lack and SZA, “Blind Tears” blends soulful textures in production with lyrical vulnerability. “This song is about being in a relationship you know you shouldn’t be in, I think a lot of people can relate to that,” shares Jay-Way. “I hope people can draw comfort from it while enjoying the song.” Born from a spontaneous freestyle session with his guitarist during a soundcheck in the summer of 2019, “Blind Tears” has soothing sounds and compelling narrative-driven lyrics that make it an ideal addition to any mellow bar’s playlist.

In addition to an album release next year, Jay-Way will take his live performance to the stage with two headlining shows in his home country of the Netherlands in February 2024. “I can’t wait to share these new songs with my fans and connect with them on a deeper level through my music,” says Jay-Way. “The live shows in the Netherlands are going to be something special, and I’m thrilled to be performing for my hometown crowd.”

A brand ambassador for PUMA and Dr. Martens, the innovative artist recently signed as a model under APL

Models Worldwide. A 2023 Berlin Music Video Awards nominee, his latest music continues to provide a welcoming intersection where rap, rock, pop, and faith converge.

About Jay-Way:

Amsterdam artist Jay-Way wants to redefine pop music. In fact, he’s set on it. But not just in a visceral sense. He wants to move beyond the conventional rapper/singer stereotype and reset the trend. His sound is a hybrid of classic ’90s hip-hop with a bit of vintage soul. It’s surged with a bolt of elite level pop and layered with some heady, contemplative lyrics. The vibe is more natural than intentional and truly a reflection of what Jay-Way stands for — freedom of expression in style, in music, and in life.
