“Fireworks” Ignites at Country Radio
Curb Records riser Kelsey Hart reflects on a right time, wrong place kind of relationship on “Something That You’d Miss,” available today (8/22) — listen HERE. Hart wrote the tender track with Kyle Schlienger, Joe Clemmons and Blake Bollinger, who also produced the song.
Despite wishing things were different, the country newcomer doesn’t hold a grudge against the girl who chose her hometown over him on “Something That You’d Miss.” The descriptive selection paints a picture of fond memories and an amicable goodbye as he admits he can’t compete with the Carolina coast that captured her heart long before he did. The wistful original serves as the follow-up to Hart’s incendiary “Fireworks,” which was recently the third most-added single at Country radio upon impact. Meanwhile, “Freedom,” his duet with labelmate Harper Grace is heating up Top 40 radio and currently sits in the Top 25 on the Hot AC chart .
Last month, the Gold-certified singer once again stepped into the coveted circle on the Grand Ole Opry stage for a performance. He’s scheduled to return to his home state of Kentucky with an appearance at Highland Farms Country Fest on Aug. 30, Labor Day weekend.
