GRAMMY® winner and new Curb Records artist Lloyd Nicks shares his need for a Savior on original pop gem “A Little More,” available now — listen HERE. The song’s official music video premieres today (4/10) at 1 p.m. CT HERE.
“‘A Little More’ is a prayer. When life feels heavy, when you realize you can’t fix everything on your own, and when the only place left to run is back to God,” Nicks shares. “This song is about honesty. Admitting we’re not perfect. Letting God keep working on us, even when the change feels like a slow burn. This one’s for the days you feel stretched thin. Press play and lean in.”
Acknowledging that becoming like Jesus is more of a marathon than a sprint, the St. Louis native asks for an extra helping of the Fruits of the Spirit on “A Little More.” Praying that love, joy, peace and patience are the characteristics that define his life, the Curb Records newcomer embraces his human limitations while simultaneously harnessing the power of Christ at work in his heart. The proud father of two wrote the song with Robby Busick and Kyle Williams, who also produced the track. “A Little More” follows Nicks’ stunning label debut, “Heal For You,” an emotional ballad dedicated to his children, which garnered nearly 4,000 pre-saves ahead of its release.
Nicks recently led worship at South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin and joined the Gospel Music Association’s writers round at this year’s Tin Pan South in Nashville, where he performed new music alongside Leanna Crawford, Franni Cash and Jacob Sooter. He’s scheduled to lead the pre-festival worship gathering at Kingdom Bound 2026, as well as share some of his own music opening for CAIN, on July 26 in New York.
Already a GRAMMY® winner, three-time GMA Dove Award nominee, and Billboard Music Award winner, Nicks signed a recording contract with Curb in 2025. His award-winning hit, CeCe Winans’ “That’s My King,” remained at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Gospel Songs chart for an impressive 49 weeks.

About Lloyd Nicks:
Lloyd Nicks is experiencing what some call an overnight success…that’s taken 15 years. Lloyd has been faithful to his calling of bringing people together through his music and message, showing that we have more in common than what sets us apart. With several major successes — winning a 2025 GRAMMY® Award, co-writing a 49-week #1 single on Billboard’s Hot Gospel Songs Chart, co-writing a 2024 Billboard Music Award-winning song — his songs resonate with audiences far and wide.Since beginning his musical journey, Lloyd has become a prolific songwriter and talented artist, crafting songs that reflect the realness of being human — the highs and lows, joys and sorrows. His personal experiences — like grieving the loss of his mother at 26, and starting a family of his own — deeply shape his music, and his diverse community is reflected in his music that sounds like a soundtrack to our lives. Born in East St. Louis and raised in Cahokia, IL, Lloyd had a difficult childhood. With his father in prison for most of his life, he often felt unseen and unheard — until he was about 14. That’s when he began to find his voice, both in sound and in purpose. Inspired by gospel greats like Fred Hammond, Marvin Sapp, and the Winans, he set out to give a voice to the voiceless. Through his Common Ground Initiative, he is now creating opportunities for others striving to learn about the music industry and the journey he took to get where he is now. Lloyd earned his undergraduate degree in Vocal Performance from Greenville University and later obtained a Master’s in Management. His versatile artistry blends gospel, urban, and contemporary music, drawing listeners in with its authenticity and depth. Through his music, Lloyd leans into his perspective as a husband, father, friend, and pastor — all through the lens of someone who loves Jesus.
Lloyd has been busy in the studio working on his Curb Records debut album, Paper-Maché, with songs from the album releasing across 2026. Lloyd’s current catalogue of music is available wherever you listen to music.
Lloyd proudly calls St. Louis his home, where he lives with his wife, Ashley, and their kids, Zoey and Dillan.
