Curb Records multi-Platinum artist Rodney Atkins tees up more new music with “Hole In One,” out today (4/10) — listen HERE.
Whether he’s huntin’, fishin’ or drinkin’, the hardworking singer hits the bullseye no matter his endeavor. Clever lyrics bounce across jangly piano on the barroom crowd pleaser as the multigenerational hitmaker serves up another round of relatable country music. The fresh track was written by Jordan Schmidt, Devin Dawson and Zach Kale; and produced by Schmidt and Atkins. The witty banter of “Hole In One” showcases Atkins’ playful humor and offers another glimpse into his first new album in seven years, True South, slated for release May 29, 2026. Fans can pre-add, pre-save and pre-order the long-awaited follow-up to 2019’s Caught Up In The Country HERE.
Atkins appropriately celebrated his new song at Topgolf Augusta yesterday (4/9) at a special first-come, first-serve event where he gave fans an early preview of “Hole In One” during golf’s most prestigious weekend. Topgolf Hole In One with Rodney Atkins also coincided with John Daly’s inaugural visit to Topgolf, and the pro-golfer introduced the ACM Award winner’s brief set at the fan-fueled party. Additionally, Atkins was recently announced as part of the lineup for “Country on the Green.” The benefit concert, supporting ACM Lifting Lives, will take place at Topgolf Las Vegas on May 15. Tickets are available for purchase HERE.
“Hole In One” follows the unveiling of “The Years Are Short,” a sentimental reflection on fatherhood. Both selections appear on Atkins’ upcoming LP where he raises a longneck to love and memories. Cementing his status as a tried-and-true family man, the East Tennessee native deploys relatable odes to marriage and parenting across True South as he details small town life with wife Rose Falcon and his three sons. Additionally, the 12-song collection delivers the ultimate southern soundtrack with Atkins’ rural upbringing at the forefront of his cleverly crafted lyrics.
