Upcoming Album, Standing Up, Dropping September 4

Curb Records recording artist Sarah Reeves shines a light on dedication and persistence on “Overnight Success,” out today, 6/26. Listen to the track, off her upcoming album, Standing Up, dropping 9/4, HERE.

Inspired by the realization that we often see the outcome of someone’s journey rather than the twists, turns, and struggles behind it, Reeves’ “Overnight Success” points out the irony of the term – what people see as instant accomplishment, triumph, or a dream realized is actually the result of a long journey of failure, growth, hindrances, and determination, a journey that onlookers rarely ever see. Walking her own path of sorrow, recovery, and repair, Reeves reckons with what success truly means and what it costs: her lyrics unraveling overnight into over night after night after night, using clever wordplay to highlight the oxymoron.

“After walking through heartbreak, healing, rebuilding, and learning to trust God through uncertain seasons, I wanted to write a song that tells the truth about perseverance,” shares Reeves. “What looks like an overnight success is usually the result of countless nights of faith, growth, setbacks, and resilience. I hope listeners are reminded that they’re not behind—that their hard seasons have purpose, and that breakthrough often comes after night after night of refusing to give up.”

Also previewing her upcoming album, Reeves recently released “180.” Fans can also hear “Signs,” Reeves’ song alongside Evan Ford, featured in Angel Studio Series, Miracle, On Netflix. Reeves will continue to release more new music ahead of her upcoming album, Standing Up, out 9/4, throughout the year.
