Debuts Video for Powerful Easter Song “Claim The Blood (Live From Liberty University) [with Liberty Worship Collective]”
Curb Records recording artist and beloved worship leader Meredith Andrews officially unveils Live From Liberty University (with Liberty Worship Collective) today (4/3) — listen HERE. In conjunction with the new project, recorded at her alma mater in Lynchburg, Va., Andrews also debuts the live video for her original Easter song, “Claim The Blood (Live From Liberty University) [with Liberty Worship Collective]” — watch HERE.
Thematically centered on the cross, the seven-track set reveals the Liberty University alum leading students in heartfelt worship across a collection of covers and originals. Powerful renditions of familiar anthems by Brooke Ligertwood, Charity Gayle and Passion fit in seamlessly alongside fan favorites from Andrews like “The Lamb, The Lion, The King.” Additionally, the award-winning artist introduces new cuts: the previously released “Prevail” and Easter-ready anthem “Claim The Blood,” both of which she co-wrote.
Appropriately premiering on Good Friday, anchor selection “Claim The Blood” was crafted nearly four years ago by Andrews, Ethan Hulse, Matt Armstrong and her husband, Jacob Sooter. “I have been waiting quite a while to be able to release this song… I believe the message is so timely for right now. With so much evil and confusion all around us, we are living in a ‘stake in the ground’ kind of moment. As followers of Jesus, we fully believe in the power of His perfect blood, not only to cleanse but to heal, restore, protect and renew us from the inside out. And because we have access to the resurrection power of Christ, and His Spirit lives inside us, we stand in our authority as sons and daughters, declaring that His blood speaks a better word than any curse or lie the enemy would attempt to send our way,” Andrews shares. “I pray this song encourages you to walk in your full identity, authority and inheritance as kids in His Kingdom.”
