Curb Records singer-songwriter Mo Pitney continues his commitment to leading a traditional country music revival with the release of the fun-loving “Fiddle Around,” a lighthearted snapshot of life with his wife, Emily, out today (5/15) — listen HERE.

The tongue-in-cheek original wraps vivid wordplay around a front-porch hootenanny and the life of the pickin’ party, as the multi-instrumentalist watches in amusement. Fellow country boys eye their shot with a carefree beauty on a moonlit Tennessee night; meanwhile, Pitney knows her heart belongs solely to him. The Cherry Valley, Illinois native wrote the clever “Fiddle Around” with Wil Nance and Johnny Dailey. Five-time CMA Musician of the Year Jenee Fleenor is featured on fiddle; and his wife, Emily, accompanies Pitney on background vocals.

An accomplished fiddle player in her own right, Emily often joins her husband on stage and across his socials, showcasing her deft musicianship and angelic harmony. The couple has recently been covering classics by Johnny and June on Instagram, as well as trying out some unreleased material.

“Fiddle Around” follows Pitney’s return to solo music with the release of toe-tapping, two-stepping track “Wake Up and Smell the Country (with Jake Worthington),” which he played live on WSM’s “Coffee, Country & Cody” the morning it dropped across streaming platforms.

The devoted family man has a full touring itinerary this year with recently announced shows at Chief’s on Broadway in Nashville on May 23 and The Caverns in Pelham, Tenn., on Sept. 27 with direct support from American Idol Season 24 winner Hannah Harper.

Fans can anticipate a steady stream of new music from Pitney throughout 2026.
