New Album, Livin’ My Best Life, Set To Arrive Aug. 5, 2022
Tickets For Fall “Amen To That Tour” On Sale Now
Nashville, Tenn. (July 29, 2022) — Curb Records recording artist Dylan Scott unveils slow-burning ballad, “Lay Down With You,” today (7/29), with the music video premiering with YouTube — listen to the track HERE and watch the video HERE. The song is the final track in a series of advance releases leading up to Scott’s highly-anticipated sophomore album, Livin’ My Best Life, slated for arrival on Aug. 5.
With a guitar-led melody that honors country’s purest traditionalists, Scott puts a modern twist on “Lay Down With You” as he confesses the best part of his day begins when he gets home and kicks off his boots. The relaxed waltz showcases his rich baritone and sharp lyrical cadence as he clocks out to hone in on a romantic night alone with the one he loves.
“‘Lay Down With You’ takes me back to my roots. Just straight-up country — it’s what I grew up on. I remember I had a lot of the chorus written already, and I took it in to Matt Alderman and Dallas Davidson, and they just crushed it,” Scott says of the tender original, fit for a slow dance. “It’s a special song to me. It’s just a straight-up country song about a hard-working blue collar guy coming home and just wanting to lay down with his wife.”
While he’s already previewed half of the songs that comprise the LP’s tracklisting, the full project officially releases one week from today. Scott co-penned eight of Livin’ My Best Life’s sixteen selections, whose credits boast an all-star lineup of writers like Tyler Hubbard, Brian Kelley, Morgan Wallen, Thomas Rhett, and more. Notable tracks include fiery heartbreak Top 5 single “New Truck,” unifying anthem “In Our Blood (feat. Jimmie Allen)” and viral TikTok ballad “Can’t Have Mine (Find You A Girl).” Fans can pre-order the project HERE.
The country hitmaker will take his new music on the road this fall when he embarks on the “Amen To That Tour.” The trek, which begins Sept. 28, will see the CMT Music Award winner headline shows across the country with stops in Los Angeles, Phoenix, Pittsburgh and more. Singer/songwriters Erin Kinsey and Lily Rose are slated to provide direct support in select cities.
