Solo Album, A Fish Without A Bicycle, Coming Soon

Nashville, Tenn. (January 23, 2023) —Sidewalk Records recording artist, five-time GRAMMY® Award winner The WRLDFMS Tony Williams, releases “UBUBU.” Layered with late-night grooves and bursts of electric guitar, “UBUBU” is a neo-soul song about desire, yearning, and the promise of a new relationship, released by an artist whose songwriting and stunning vocals have left a unique mark upon modern-day R&B and hip-hop. Listen to “UBUBU” HERE.

Co-produced and co-written by Williams and Cutta Classic, whose collaborations include projects with Jason Derulo, Young Dolph, and more, “UBUBU” finds Williams in a smitten mood, wooing his would-be lover with romantic lyrics and vocal harmonies. Acclaimed guitarist Justin Lyons, known for his work with pop acts like Machine Gun Kelly and Blackpink, funnels the yearning in Williams’ lyrics through his guitar, blending the song’s R&B foundation with genre-bending textures.

“‘UBUBU’ not only is the ultimate sales pitch using the promise of the adventures of a lifetime as the leader, but it’s also the ultimate flex,” shares Williams, who has duetted with gospel legend Patti LaBelle, recorded with Jay-Z, performed with Rick Ross, written songs for Nas, and appeared on multiple Kanye West albums. “As the Universe would have it, the song’s narrator attracts the one that he finds equally as uniquely interesting as himself and contends that he wouldn’t try to change her for the world.”

Along with recent singles like “Everybody Knows,” “Black Heart Emoji,” and “Kiss Or Go Crazy,” “UBUBU” will appear on The WRLDFMS Tony Williams’ upcoming solo album, A Fish Without A Bicycle. “UBUBU” is available HERE.

About The WRLDFMS Tony Williams:

The WRLDFMS Tony Williams is known for his acclaimed solo work as well as his featured appearances on songs by Jay Z, Kanye West, Nas, and others. A soulful innovator whose music bridges the gaps between R&B, gospel, funk, and forward-thinking pop, he made his national debut on Kanye West’s multi-platinum debut, The College Dropout, which featured Williams’ vocals on multiple tracks. Released in 2004, the album launched both artists’ careers. While collaborating with dozens of other artists, Williams utilized his talents not only as a vocalist but also as a songwriter. He sang on Jay-Z’s “A Star Is Born,” duetted with gospel queen Patti LaBelle on West’s “Roses”, and co-wrote “Bonjour” for Nas. More importantly, he continued creating his own music, marking his solo debut with 2012’s King or the Fool – An Opera: Volume 1 — an album that featured collaborations with John Legend, Raheem DeVaughn, and Mint Condition’s Stokley Williams — and turning a new leaf with 2021’s “Everybody Knows,” recorded alongside rapper Wale.
