Presses Accelerator on “Tim Dugger and Friends Tour” Hitting Speedways Nationwide Through October

Nashville, Tenn. (April 5, 2024) — Curb Records recording artist Tim Dugger honors his musical hero, Merle Haggard, with an original cover of Haggard’s self-penned classic “Mama Tried,” out today (4/5) — listen HERE.

“Mama Tried” jumpstarts a season of new music for the country traditionalist. On his fresh recording, produced by Brandon Hood, Dugger carefully keeps the memorable rebellion of the Haggard staple alive and well with his take on the tried-and-true country outlaw track. The sympathetic tribute to his mother became a career-defining song for Haggard and his band, The Strangers, spending four weeks at No. 1 in the late ’60s. Paying homage to the legend, Dugger caps the definitive hit with a full-on electric jam session that kicks the song’s southern rock up to 11.

Poised to headline the 2024 NASCAR racing circuit again this year, the Alabama native is pressing the accelerator on his “Tim Dugger and Friends Tour” slated to hit major speedways nationwide through October. Supporting his 2024 concert dates in North Carolina are partnerships with Dr. Pepper and Sun Drop that will find Dugger featured in an augmented reality experience throughout Walmart in-store displays and ahead of the NASCAR All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway and the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Preliminary routing for the “Tim Dugger and Friends Tour” is below with additional dates to come.

Dugger will preview tracks from his next studio record, due later this year, at his upcoming live shows. More drops at DSPs are expected from the singer/songwriter in the coming months.

About Tim Dugger:
Curb Records recording artist, Country music singer/songwriter, and Alabama native Tim Dugger grew up on NASCAR racing, Gospel singing and classic Country music. He developed a genuine love for songwriting and storytelling during summers spent as his local music store jamming with bluegrass pickers. After being introduced to former NASCAR driver and team owner Richard Childress, Dugger was off to the races, playing his original songs at nearly every major track in America. Along the way, he cultivated an unapologetic artistic identity, rooted in the music of his childhood idols like Merle Haggard, Vern Gosdin, Hank Williams, and Alan Jackson. Tim made his Grand Ole Opry debut in December of 2021. Dugger’s set to release new music in 2024, beginning with the release of “Mama Tried,” available today.
