“That’s My King,” co-written by Curb Records artist Lloyd Nicks, won the GRAMMY Award for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song. Lloyd was invited by the Recording Academy to attend the GRAMMY Awards and join his co-writers on stage to accept the award. The song spent over two years on Billboard’s Hot Gospel Songs Chart.
Following the ceremony, the award was rescinded due to a technicality. With the support and advocacy of a committed team around Lloyd, led by Curb Records Founder and Chairman Mike Curb, the Recording Academy ultimately reversed its decision, allowing Lloyd Nicks and his co-writers to retain their GRAMMY Award.
