The track, written by Brice, Matt Alderman, and Nate Kenyon, and produced by, Brice, Cody LaBelle, and Jerrod Niemann, puts a bittersweet twist on the familiar children’s rhyme “Sitting in a Tree,” reimagining its innocent romance through the eyes of a man who has lost the love of his life. Now, instead of sitting with the one he loves, he’s sitting at a bar, finding solace in a bottle of whiskey. Equal parts clever and heart-wrenching, “Me And Whiskey” captures the loneliness of heartbreak with Brice’s signature soulful edge.
