Gratitude-Filled “Without Tennessee” Premieres Today (4/15)
More New Music On The Way
Nashville, Tenn. (April 15, 2022) — Curb Records recording artist FILMORE continues his series of weekly music drops with today’s release of “Without Tennessee,” his seventh song to debut in seven weeks. The gratitude-filled track is now available across all streaming platforms — listen HERE. FILMORE kicked off his string of new music Mar. 4 with upbeat, guitar-driven song “Johnny Got A Girl,” followed by pub-worthy singalong “Leave Me A Memory” and retro-tinged track “Girl Back.” Next, twangy pop jam “Somewhere With Beer,” driving heartbreak anthem “Falling Out Of Love,” and high-voltage rocker “If That Ain’t Country” premiered in succession. Now seven for seven, the singer/songwriter promises to unveil additional music in the coming weeks.
Reflecting on his journey from his hometown of Wildwood, Missouri to Music City, FILMORE pays tribute to the state that led him to love on the deeply personal “Without Tennessee.” The newcomer crossed state lines chasing down a dream but ended up chasing down a girl by way of the ten-year town, where he now makes his home with his wife, Paige, whom he initially met while on tour in South Carolina. PEOPLE shared the couple’s love story and gave fans a first look at their oceanside ceremony when they wed in October 2020 — revisit the exclusive HERE.
“‘Without Tennessee’ came so fast. It was kinda telling that story about meeting someone in a city you didn’t grow up in,” explains FILMORE, who penned the ballad on his back porch with Blake Pendergrass. “For me, Nashville is a town I’ve been in for years, and without moving here, I never would have gotten on a bus and been in South Carolina and met my now wife; and now we live here. So I think ‘Without Tennessee’ can apply to any city, any town. I hope that resonates with everyone in whatever city they’re in, where they found their special someone — that’s what this song’s about. For me, that’s Tennessee, but for someone else, it could be anywhere else in the world.”
In the coming weeks, fans can look forward to more original music from the rising star, including contagious groove “One Last Time,” vibrant offering “Bar In Belize” and autobiographical track “Mean Something.”
On Apr. 23, he’ll bring his new music to Joe’s on Weed Street in Chicago.
