The official grand opening of the NEW location of our Reagan Institute in Washington D.C. took place on June 7th. The celebration featured Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, former Reagan National Co-Chairman and Lt. Governor Mike Curb, and Former House Speaker Paul Ryan. Author, columnist, and former Reagan speechwriter Peggy Noonan served as the keynote for the special celebration.
The Reagan Institute actively promotes President Reagan’s vision and leadership model through academic programs, scholarly work, and substantive, issue-driven forums within our three centers of activity:
- The Center for Freedom & Democracy – This center champions President Reagan’s vision of America as a shining city on a hill by helping to restore his optimistic, confident approach to promoting freedom, democracy, and human dignity.
- The Center for Civics, Education & Opportunity – This center features two premier programs: Leadership and the American Presidency for students and the Reagan Institute Summit on Education (RISE), which brings education leaders and stakeholders together to examine and strengthen the U.S. education system.
- The Center for Peace Through Strength – The cornerstone of this program is our annual Reagan National Defense Forum, which invites bipartisan national security leaders and experts to collectively address the health of our national defense and promote policies that strengthen the S. military and our standing in the world.
We want to express our profound gratitude for the many donors who have invested in this next generation of citizens through important civic, education, national security, and leadership initiatives, anchored by President Reagan’s principles.
“If there was ever a moment when we needed the clarity of President Reagan’s vision and example, it is now. We need to renew, relearn, and relitigate the principles he advanced, and apply them to the problems of the day.”
