Official Music Video for Lead Single, “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing,” Premieres 11/18 on KLOVE.com
Nashville, Tenn. (November 15, 2024) — Curb Records recording artist We Are Messengers heralds the holiday season with a new five-song EP, Rejoice! (A Celtic Christmas), out today (11/15) — listen HERE. Additionally, the official music video for the project’s lead single, “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing,” premieres 11/18 exclusively on KLOVE.com.
Transporting listeners to the Emerald Isle, the fresh holiday collection boasts bright instrumentation that mirrors the lush landscape of frontman Darren Mulligan’s native Ireland, where the songs were tracked in a centuries-old church not far from the lead singer’s home. Flavored with fiddle, mandolin, bodhran, guitar, upright bass, concertina, uilleann pipes, harp and banjo, the seasonal set also boasts background vocals from Mulligan’s wife, Heidi, and contributions from some of Ireland’s most esteemed musicians. From the group’s take on traditional Irish hymn “The Wexford Carol” to the EP’s lone original, “Thorn and Thistle (feat. Keith and Kristyn Getty),” Rejoice! (A Celtic Christmas) is tailor-made for celebration.
“This is a special one to us,” Mulligan says of the release, which was produced by Dan Muckala. “It celebrates the birth of the King in a way that is authentic to who we are.”
Lyric videos for all tracks featured on Rejoice! (A Celtic Christmas) are now available on the collective’s YouTube channel, while official music videos and live performance videos for each song will continue to be unveiled in the weeks to come.
Rejoice! (A Celtic Christmas) caps an incredible year that saw the award-winning group release their fourth full-length studio effort, Where The Joy Is, and headline a global tour that took them around the world playing to the largest audiences of their career.
