First-Time Mom Prepares to Welcome Son This Month
Curb Records artist Hannah Ellis enlists her husband, Nick Wayne, for a cozy duet on “Christmas at 60 MPH,” out today (11/7) — listen HERE. Watch as the lovebirds brave icy roads in the accompanying visual.
The couple is simply along for the ride as they enjoy a holiday on the highway across “Christmas at 60 MPH.” The lighthearted nostalgia of the original finds its roots in real life as, each year, Ellis and Wayne practically meet themselves coming and going in an attempt to visit both sides of divorced families. They make the best of a tough situation, however, with a playlist of their favorite carols and warm cups of coffee, as they frantically dash from one festive gathering to the next. Together, they wrote the new seasonal track alongside Mark Trussell, with Eric Arjes helming production.
The festive song arrives as the couple readies for an early Christmas present — the birth of their first child, due this month.
“Christmas at 60 MPH (with Nick Wayne)” puts a bow on a busy year for Ellis that saw the mother-to-be release a batch of fresh music, featuring the flirty, no-strings-attached “Love of My Night,” the empowering “The Women I Am (with Martina McBride)” and the sentimental “Waiting to Die (with Nick Wayne).” Additionally, last month, the Kentucky native honored the life and legacy of her late cousin, Daniel, on “Officer Down (10th Anniversary).” The ballad’s emotional music video features family members, like Ellis, who have lost loved ones in the line of duty — watch HERE.

To further mark a decade since Daniel’s death, on Oct. 13, the singer-songwriter hosted the 1st annual Hannah Ellis Officer Down Golf Classic. Held at Hermitage Golf Course in Old Hickory, Tenn., the full-day event and tournament raised more than $27,000 for C.O.P.S. (Concerns Of Police Survivors), an organization that helps families of fallen officers rebuild their lives in the wake of tragedy.
