Celebrates New Album With Events at Topgolf, ACM Lifting Lives Country on the Green: Riley Green & Friends, and CMA Fest

Curb Records multi-generational hitmaker Rodney Atkins releases his long-awaited LP, True South, today (5/29) — listen HERE. Co-penning six of the project’s dozen tracks, Atkins also co-produced the album alongside Jordan Schmidt, Brandon Hood, Ted Hewitt, Seth Mosley and Michael “X” O’Connor. Keeping the revelry going, Atkins is scheduled to open Camp Curb on Thursday morning (June 4) of CMA Fest with special guest, labelmate Harper Grace. Fans can purchase tickets to the exclusive party in downtown Nashville HERE.

Of his new album that he’s dedicating to his fans, Atkins observes, “Some of ya’ll have been around since the very beginning, and some of y’all grew up on ‘Watching You’ and ‘Farmer’s Daughter.’ One cool thing about social media is that I get to hear your stories about the songs and what they mean to you. And believe me, I’m listening to and reading most every comment; and that’s why my new album, True South, has been shaped by you and was made for you.”

The ACM Award winner raises a longneck to love, family and memories on his follow-up to Caught Up In The Country. Cementing his status as a tried-and-true family man, Atkins serves up relatable odes to marriage and parenting as he details small town life with wife Rose Falcon and his three sons. The 12-song collection delivers the ultimate southern soundtrack with the East Tennessee native’s rural upbringing at the forefront of cleverly crafted lyrics. Additionally, True South boasts heartwarming collaborations with Falcon (“Believe Me”) and Atkins’ oldest son, Elijah (“Watching You 2.0”); as well as surefire country anthems such as “Helluvit,” “Hole In One” and “All Y’all.”

Atkins has already been celebrating the release with a recent appearance at Topgolf Augusta during golf’s most prestigious weekend and a performance at “Country on the Green,” held at Topgolf Las Vegas ahead of this year’s ACM Awards. The concert — which also featured Riley Green, Lauren Alaina, Avery Anna and Randy Houser — benefited ACM Lifting Lives. Moreover, in support of True South, Atkins will appear on the No. 98 NASCAR truck driven by Jake Garcia at the Nashville Superspeedway this weekend.
